Girls Night Out

yes....a post that is not about Damon...can you believe it? Last night an old buddy of mine and his band (Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband) were playing in Arlington, VA... so Heather (Mike's cousin - who I feel like is my cousin) and I went to see them play. It was a lot of fun, but also made me feel so old! Seeing the single scene again, and being so grateful that I am past that stage in my life. It was so much fun to hang out with Heather and to see Ryan again.

Our Little Athlete

Sorry if people get sick of posts about Damon, but he is 99% of the entertainment around here. Those of you with a 2 year old will know what I mean. I've recently started being more crafty and painting a little bit....so one afternoon I thought I would be daring and see how Damon would do with it. He was so cute, always washing his brush off before getting a new color, and kept all of the paint on the paper....(almost all of it). Enjoy a couple of pics....

Happy Birthday to My Man

Mike's birthday was August 22nd, but he was unfortunately working in Denver on his birthday. Poor guy. We celebrated with his cousins and some friends last Sunday with a great bbq. Here are a couple of pictures. Happy Birthday Honey!

Frederick

So...I haven't posted in a while....nothing extrememly exciting has been going on...but Mike talked me into posting about a little mouse named Frederick. There was a night a few weeks ago when Mike had gone into Damon's room to help him fall back asleep....after 1/2 hour or so I went to see what was going on and when I walked down the hall, I saw the light on, I walked in and saw all the furniture moved away from the walls, and Mike started telling me to shut Damon's door...they were going to catch a mouse! After a little while longer they walked out of Damon's room with this.....Nasty!

and I being the stereotypical girl was scared to death and locked myself in my room. They named him Frederick and he was Damon's little friend for about the next 45 minutes. Yuck! I can't even believe I am posting this!
