Life in the East: The Jumps

A couple of Saturdays ago Mike and Damon went for a bike ride down our favorite Capital Crescent Trail. They found a little side trail, and Damon was in his little "biking heaven". Damon demanded that I see this place so we went back that evening as a little family. Just imagine my anxiety as I watched him go down this trail over, and over, and over....

"I just love watermelon, I couldn't wait" - after taking the bowl away from me as I was cutting up the watermelon

Talking to a friend... "you know what I got for lunch today? chicken nuggets. Isn't that fun?"
"When I'm a Dad, I'm gonna let my kids choose whatever they want to do"
"When I get home from school, I want to see a bowl of jello waiting for me"

"I wish I had no parents, that would be awesome!"
After I snitched some grapes from him he said "I wish you didn't have hands"

"mmmmmm! What is this stuff? I could eat this for days!" - referring to campbells alphabet soup
"This was the best day of my whole life!"
"I'm just killing this game!" - while majorly beating me in a game of memory
"That's disappointing, isn't it...."
"I don't mind, take your time"
"I wish we had a hot tub instead of a house"
"Mom, maybe you can chap stick your eye brows to make them prettier" - (he means put mascara on my eyelashes)
"When I marry my girlfriend I will really really really miss you"
"I love you more than my girlfriend & more than everyone else"
"I can't talk right now, I'm too busy stretching"
"Whoa! This is a very juicy apple!"
"When I grow up I want to be a rock star and a scientist. Isn't that great we can be more than one thing!"
"This is yummier than I thought it would be" (orange soda)
"I will really miss Brixton when I get married"
"I will never forget about you when I grow up"
"I think you are a wonderful woman"
"Mommy, maybe we should set up a dance stadium. Me and Dad can do it. We'll need some special helpers like Chris and Scott. They can bring their tool boxes."

While running to the bathroom, and quietly talking to himself "I gotta go potty, emergency"

"He can slobber on my blanket if he wants to" - talking about his little brother
"I love you very much brother"
"Mommy...Babies are the most special of all"
"Mommy, you make the best cakes ever!"
"Mom, I don't want to eat any food tomorrow, so my teeth can be all clean!"
"Can I have this sucker? I deserve it"
"Whoa, that is a massive line of cars!"
"Mommy? Why are you a nice person?"
"Mommy? I hear noises in my brain. Do you hear noises in your brain?"
"B and D sound the same, that's kind of interesting!"
"i'm getting heartburn" - sounds like he might know someone that constantly has heartburn!
"Mamma, you're my sweetie pie"
"I just can't believe your big belly!"
"I wish I had more arms so I could carry more stuff"
"mom, I'm losing weight"
"mom, can you hear me? are you broken?"
while spinning around the room...he asks me "are you getting dizzy mom?"
(referring to Mike) - "Look at his legs, they're pretty old"
"My heart is beeping faster, that's why I gotta run"
"Hey! You bought some oranges! Great Job!"
"I"m just gonna pick my nose at my house, not at pre-school"
"I got a big head like my dad"
"oh, drama, drama"
"My leg wants to go to the playground"
"Mom. our mess is housy"
