My Boy is 4!

I cannot believe that my little Damon turned 4 years old yesterday.  I can't believe how quickly time has gone and what a little man he has become.   He surprises me everyday with the things he says and does.  They are sometimes hilarious, sometimes sweet, sometimes smart, and of course sometimes bad.  I just love him so much and can't believe that he's mine.  I loved looking through his old pictures today...I could have posted SO many more...but I kept it simple.  I'll do another post soon w/ more of my favorites....but for now, here is a picture for each year he's been a part of our family.

Today I did my hair for the first time in over a month....pathetic, I know.  I NEVER take pictures of myself like this, but I was so happy I got ambitious and took a pic today.  Until the next time...

So Grateful for Grandmas

The last two weeks around here have been GREAT!   First, my mom flew out from Utah to spend a week with us, then the day that she left Mike's mom flew in and stayed for a week.   The two weeks that I had mom's here were absolutely wonderful.  Full of fun outings, extra naps for me, more bike rides for Damon, yummy meals, and great conversations.  It was so fun for me to have  another adult to  hang out with all day long while Mike was off at work.  Not to say that I don't love my conversations with my 3 year old...but come on...you all know what I mean.   A huge thanks to my mom and mother-in-law for all of their help.  I might have gone insane without you both!

Little Brixton - 8 Days Old

Welcome Home Little Brixton!

Well...he's here!  I was induced Tuesday morning....the drugs worked extremely well....(meaning the pitocin, NOT necessarily the epidural).  I think the pitocin worked better than anyone in the room expected (especially Mike).  They even turned the pitocin completely off because my contractions were coming so quickly, and I was waiting for the epidural....but nope...my body was not about to slow down.  So when I got the epidural, the nurse checked me immediately after and I was dilated to a PLUS 2.  I had never even heard of that...but what it meant was that our baby was on his way out!   I pushed for 7 contractions, and he was born.   It took just over 2 hours from when I got the I.V., to when he was born.    He was 6 lbs. 11 oz. , 20 inches long.  

We know, these aren't the best pictures...but they will do for now.

Damon is absolutely LOVING being the big brother.  He has said some of the cutest and sweetest things since his little brother was born.  This morning Damon cuddled up to him, and said "Hi....it's me....good morning"

For some reason, I just melted....

Damon also told Brixton that "No matter what, even if you cry a lot, I will always love you"
