Memory Lane

I saw this on my friends blog, and thought it looked like a lot of fun....

Here are the directions....

1.  As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I have together.  It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember...

2.  Next, repost these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses.  If you leave a memory, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave a memory for you!

i remember when you were the only person in the bethesda ward who made an effort to get to know me. i know it doesn't seem like much, but that meant a lot to me last summer. i remember that amazing dinner you cooked us one sunday AND the amazing banana bread desert. i still need that recipe! my favorite memory of you is simply remembering how real and wonderful you are.

I have 2 that came to mind... I couldn't decide
- Trying super hard (actually I don't even think we tried) not to laugh when what's his name starting singing during his testimony in our crazy singles ward.
- Sneaking boys into our tents during Youth Conference... Hello - what were we thinking! Good thing you married yours.

I'd have to say volleyball class is where I have my fondest memories of you. 7 to 1!!

That's true, 4-wheeling in the jeep after school was a lot of fun. It was my release, I guess you can say.

I guess my fondest memory is how we initially met. You didn't like me because you thought that I was dating someone (name withheld) you liked. Come to find out we were never dating at all just really good buddies. I was no longer the enemy at that point. The good ol' days!!!

"Ghetto Superstar, that is what you are..." How can I forget? That summer was nuts. I wonder what ever happened to those boys in the Ghetto...oh wait, I married one!! Did we ever sleep?!

I also thought of the trips to your cabin. One time in particular when we did lip syncs and we did "Hakuna Matata." I swear it was the best lip sync ever. And, yes, we were older than 5 years old.
I like this, tons of memories are coming back!

what a cute idea! My memory of you is sitting at my boring desk on the 3rd floor lobby of NuSkin... and how I loved it when you would come out and talk to me! I honestly remember that you ALWAYS had a smile on your face or were laughing at something....and it would brighten my day. And from all your pictures I can see that same smile and vibrance that I remember. You are really one of the nicest and most fun people I know. All your girl friends in DC are lucky they have you!!

I'm surprised no one from here in DC has posted anything yet ... but then again, Jackie and Alexandra are still figuring out internet access with their moves.

Anyway, my favorite memory of you is when we planned the surprise party for Jackie's birthday, especially after she posted on her blog that she thought she'd gotten through it with no one doing something nice for her. HA! Great laughs!

Back last Halloween season when I was still pregnant with Will but was for some reason going to pumpkin patches and on hay rides just about every single day. You were the only person I knew at Butler Orchard and I had forgotten my camera, but you took tons of photos for me and emailed them to me that very day. I was thinking baout that day when I noticed a photo of Damon from the hay ride on your blog sidebar. The boys have grown up so much.

Michelle-
I have so many memories of you. I can't just pick one... I guess the biggest memory I have is that we played barbies ALL THE TIME. And they were always in a rock band and your barbie always had to be the lead singer and we would have the stage be on the top of your bunk bed.
This is so dumb but I also remember that in your downstairs bathroom you guys had a red heating light that I thought was cool and you guys had banana chairs.
Oh and one last one- your mom saying "grab Michelle!" Do you ever think you got on her nerves? :)

This is easy - but hard! So many memories to choose from....

One of my favorites was sitting on our balcony at Branbury in the middle of winter, eating toast from your mom's homemade potato bread and drinking hot chocolate, waiting to catch a glimpse of Lee, Tyler and Scott coming home. Great memories!

One of my favorites was the summer I was on vacation for a few weeks and when I got home you came over with a list of what had happened while I was gone so that you could tell me all of your stories without forgetting the details- it was hilarious and so fun to just sit and chat for hours on end! I love you babe!!

I love reading all these memories - so funny! I can just see you as a kid playing barbies, and I've seen the pics of you lip-sync-ing with your friends ... lol.

There are too many memories of the past couple of years. Like when you brought brownies to us, with a note to the "sweet sickly aunas" when we missed church, or how when we didn't really know each other well, you drove me to the distribution center twice in a row bc I forgot my reccomend. Or how about all those Tuesday mornings watching our fav show while the kids played? Or the fun 5 mile jogs that didn't seem so long bc we always had something to talk about?

You are as everyone says, warm and real, thoughtful and a true friend. Love ya!

Lots of fun high school memories, I remember one night Me, Marissa, You and Michelle Astle were at your house and we were getting ready to leave but Michelle had to run somewhere real fast and was running acrossed the front yard and she didn't see a low hanging tree branch and got clothes-lined. The worst part is that we all stood there laughing, nobody went to see if she was okay. Fortunately she was ok. That one always sticks out. And lunch in high school. They are the good 'ol days, but I'm not aching to go back and re-live them. Our good memories are all I need :)

The first time we met at church, you and Mike came over to us and introduced yourselves, and we had the same diaper bag (I know, random detail), but you guys were so fun right away and we've enjoyed your friendship & honesty ever since!

This is such a cute idea! I'll never forget the cake you stole & served at Emma's baptism. Then there's when you yelled "You Butt" at me across Cheesecake Factory (your surprise bday fete). And the stealth brownies you leave for us--yum!! You're the sweetest. Lots of love to you from me.
